Madina High School celebrated India’s 70th Republic Day with great éclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The programme began at 9:30 am. The chief guests of the day was Prof. G Haragopal , professor National Law School Of India University [NLSIU] presided over by Prof. Venkata Ramana Devi , Dean , Faculty Of Science, O.U,. the management members , Principal , staff and students were welcomed by our cabinet members.

The guest members were presided to the flag hoisting ceremony by our school guard of honour team. Our chief guest hoisted the National Flag , the students saluted the National Flag and pledged to uphold its honour and integrity. The proud winners of the sports competition were felicitated in  the ceremony with gold and silver medals.

The chief guests addressed the students and urged them to do their best and feel proud to be an INDIAN. It was followed by a motivational address by our dynamic director Mrs Maria Tabassum, the lady behind the CCA activities initiated in the school.

The guests were felicitated by bouquets and mementoes. The school auditorium reverberated with patriotic favour and enthusiasm by a patriotic rendition by the nightingales of Madina under the guidance of Ayesha Juveriya, our academic director. The students brought the stage alive with their passion and love of the motherland through their speeches in diverse languages.

The winners of the prestigious annual event Moulana Abul Kalam Azad’s   129th birth anniversary celebrations were awarded with cash prizes to the tune of rupees 5,000 , 3,000 and 2,000 for first , second and third positions respectively in the senior and junior category followed by prize distribution ceremony for various winners of interclass competitions. Our ex-student (2016 batch) Mr. Masihuddin was felicitated with a memento for getting selected in Civil Engineeering at BITS, PILANI- Hyderabad campus. Two girls Hajera Mahveen and Juveria Naaz of Madina Public School for girls, Nampally were felicitated for winning in the under 11 category in the 7th National Hapkido championship. Finally the program ended with a vote of thanks.

The students dispersed after the snacks with the image of fluttering tricolour in their mind and heart. May we continue celebrating this day forever.
